Assistant Project Scientist
Dr. Srinivasa Rao Peddinti is an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California, Davis, specializing in precision agriculture with a focus on enhancing productivity, resource use efficiency, and sustainability in specialty crop systems. With over five years of postdoctoral research experience, Dr. Peddinti has led and contributed to interdisciplinary projects involving advanced sensing technologies, AI-enabled decision support tools, and spatial modeling to optimize water and nutrient management in crops such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios, grapes, citrus, and processing tomatoes. Dr. Peddinti has extensive experience with state-of-the-art field instrumentation, including eddy covariance flux towers, sap flow sensors, dendrometers, IoT-based soil moisture and water potential sensors, and geophysical methods such as electrical resistivity tomography, electromagnetic induction, and cosmic-ray neutron probes.
