Position Title
Postdoc Scholar
Dr. P.S. Rao is a postdoctoral research scholar in the department of Land, Air, and Water Resources at the University of California, Davis. His primary research focuses on soil moisture sensor calibration, soil-water-plant interactions, and root water uptake studies. He is also interested in characterizing ET, GPP, and WUE fluxes at point, field, and regional scales using eddy covariance and remote sensing methods with the aim of precision agricultural water management for different crops. He received his Doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), India. During his Ph.D., he worked on interdisciplinary research on a comprehensive understanding of eco-hydrological processes occurring between the rhizosphere and planetary boundary layer for the citrus orchards to manage the disease, improve crop productivity and irrigation management practices.
